Fader Family Trip to Alaska

Joan and Jon Fader cruised up the inside passage from Vancouver BC to Alaska onboard the Disney Wonder.  In company with Joan and Jon were their daughter Jennifer, son-in-law Dennis Atkins, and grandsons Andrew (13) and Ben (10).  This was a 7 day cruise (2-9 August) with a northernmost stop at Skagway, then south to Juneau and Ketchikan, finally returning to Vancouver.  We saw lots of great sights, including glaciers, whales, salmon, bears (black and grizzly), and bald eagles.  It was a memorable experience for all, and especially nice to share with grandchildren.  This is Disney’s first year for Alaska cruises, and in our estimation is the best way to go if you’re cruisin’.  We even got our picture with Minnie Mouse.  (See attached photo).  Jon was an MT1(SS) on Calhoun's Commissioning Gold, and is currently the JCCVA Secretary.
