The USS John C. Calhoun (SSBN 630) Veterans Association is a fraternal
organization for United States Navy Submariners who served aboard the nuclear powered fleet ballistic missile submarine USS
John C. Calhoun (SSBN-630). The primary purpose of the Association is to provide an opportunity for members to enjoy camaraderie
with former shipmates and other submariners with a common background of service aboard the Calhoun, and to provide the opportunity
for members to actively participate in reunions and other activities of the Association.

First Reunion Attendees - August 1990 |

The JCCVA was officially organized in August of 1990. The
first reunion was hosted by Jack Ensminger (TM 63-66 Gold) and his lovely wife, Lori, in Hagerstown, Maryland. Since
then, the organization has grown and held reunions every two years. In 2004, the IRS granted our petition
for tax exempt status and the JCCVA was awarded the exemption based on the high percentage of our members who are classified
as war veterans (service before 1975). With this exemption, all dues and donations to the organization are tax deductible.
We cordially invite all Calhoun veterans to join this Association to experience the camaraderie and preserve the memory of
the best of the "Forty - One for Freedom".
